Raised in a family deeply connected to their Chinese heritage, Dr. Castle developed a profound interest in traditional Chinese Medicine. Her family's herbal store, situated in Napa's Chinatown during the early 1900s, provided her with invaluable exposure to the principles and practices of herbal remedies. Driven by a desire to explore less invasive and more holistic healing approaches, Dr. Castle pursued acupuncture, recognizing its potential to integrate with Western therapies and offer patients a gentle approach to healing with minimal side effects. Georgina Castle is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. Dr. Castle is a Nationally Board Certified Diplomate in Oriental Medicine and Diplomate in Acupuncture Orthopedics. She earned her Doctorate from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and a Master's Degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine with the highest honors from Emperor's College of Traditional Oriental Medicine. She also has a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Saint Mary's College and a Masters of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of California Los Angeles. Dr. Castle has treated patients at UCLA and was a research associate there for many years. She is a contributing author of the book Complementary, Alternative, and Integrative Health: A Multicultural Perspective. Dr. Castle has been in practice for 18 years and her specialties include orthopedic acupuncture, pain management, infertility, and women's health. |
